A. Medical Allied Services

Pharmacist – Ref: ABH/MS/P1

Job Specification

Qualification: Bachelor in Pharmacy (Registered with the Board of Pharmacy of Mauritius)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience preferred

Job Profile

The post-holder will work under the Principal Pharmacist and with a team of pharmacists. She/he will be responsible to dispense or supervise the dispensing of drugs. Screening the prescription, dispense the medication to the patient and educate the patient about the medications.
  • Co-ordination with suppliers for timely supply of drugs
  • Discuss with doctors on standardization of brands as per the protocols
  • Regular stock taking, checking, indenting and inventory control
Pharmacist Technician – Ref: ABH/MS/PT

Job Specification

Qualification : HSC holder with Science related subject i.e, Biology or Chemistry
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity Knowledge of Pharmaceuticals

Job Profile

The Post-holder will be responsible to prepare as required and dispense pharmaceutical drugs –under the supervision of licensed pharmacist. She/he will be responsible for proper storage of drugs in areas assigned, i.e,verification of expiry date of drug stocks and maintain pharmacy store room stocks. Pre-package drugs from bulk stores into prescription size, maintain control logs. Record prescription refills and dispensing of over-the-counter drugs onto the patient’s medical record. Undertake record keeping and other clerical tasks.

B. Nursing

Paediatric Nurse - Ref: ABH/ND/PN

Job Specification

Qualification: Diploma in General Nursing and specialisation in Paediatrics
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ post qualification experience in Nursing preferably in Paediatrics and Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit

Job Profile

The post holder will work with the multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care and staff development, as part of the Paediatric team. In addition he/she will provide specialist nursing care and/or support the ward manager/sisters in the management of the clinical area. This will involve dealing with complex situations and having to take appropriate action in emergency or unforeseen situations. To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified.
Midwife - Ref: ABH/ND/M1

Job Specification

Qualification: Holder of at least a Diploma in General Nursing and specialisation in Midwifery
Experience: Minimum of 3 years post-qualification in relevant field

Job Profile

The post holder will practice as a midwife within the maternity and shall work as an autonomous, accountable and experienced practitioner and a lead professional in the provision of care to women and their families. She will provide all relevant forms of specialised programmes of care and advice to women and their families, including responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period.
Ward Staff Nurse – Ref : ABH/ND/WN

Job Specification

Qualification: Holder of at least in Diploma in General Nursing
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ of experience in Nursing

Job Profile

The post holder will work effectively and efficiently within the framework of nursing team and individualised patient care. She/he will also be working in collaboration with the ward’s integrated multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients. To contribute towards developing and maintaining a suitable and stimulating learning environment.

C. Finance

Cost Accountant – Ref : ABH/FD/CA

Job Specification

Qualification: Holder of ACCA, ACA, CIMA,MIPA
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ of experience in Finance

Job Profile

To apply mathematical and statistical techniques to address practical issues in finance, such as costing, risk management, or financial market regulation for the hospital. Ensure comprehensive financial systems are established and maintained in order to provide appropriate levels of security and controls over the organisation’s resources and operations.
  • Devise or apply independent models and tools to help verify results of analytical systems.
  • Research and develop analytical tools to address issues such as optimization, performance measurement, attribution, profit and loss measurements, and pricing models.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to research, model, validate, or implement quantitative structures solutions for new or expanded markets.
  • Confer with other financial and non-financial members of staff to understand the hospital’s business development strategies, market dynamics, and operating system performance for development of quantitative techniques.
  • Provide assistance to the CFO for the preparation of Annual Budget and Strategies.
Statistician - Ref: ABH/FD/S1

Job Specification

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computing, Statistics, Information Systems or related discipline
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position

Job Profile

The post holder is expected to perform extracting, transforming and inputting data sets from various sources.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Collaborate with others, develop and maintain databases and data systems necessary for projects and department functions
  • Define and recommend model specifications or data collection method
  • Draw flowcharts and graphs, using computer spreadsheets, to illustrate technical procedures
  • Create and present quality dashboards
  • Compiles and analyses financial information and prepares reports and other management information as required, conducting additional research where necessary, to ensure managers have the relevant information needed to support decision making

D. Operations

Billing Manager - Ref: ABH/OD/BM

Job Specification

Qualification : Graduate Degree in Management or equivalent qualification
Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant hospital billing experience Have a working idea on the overall billing operations and insurance such as reimbursement rules Knowledge of medical terminology will be an advantage Knowledge of health insurance sector is desirable Computer skills that include MS office.

Job Profile

The post holder will develop and implement policies and processes to reduce inefficiencies and maximize revenue by improving the medical billing functions. He/she will also be responsible for overseeing all medical billing functions, training a productive and effective billing staff and ensuring billing is accurate and goes out every month on time.
  • The post holder shall implement and maintain the best practice/integration initiatives to improve the performance of the front-end and back-end billing operations.
  • He/She will develop statistical reports and procedures for the billing area, as well as systems for coordinating the administrative and human resources management of the Billing functions. As well, develop and monitor processes for account management and customer service for all clients, including reports, complaints, etc.
Housekeeping Manager - Ref : ABH/OD/HM

Job Specification

Qualification : Graduate Degree/Diploma Management in Hospitality Services
Experience: Over 4 years of relevant experience Strong written and verbal skills are required.  Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, team building, and problem solving skills are required. 

Job Profile

The post- holder will lead the housekeeping team and be responsible for the management of their rotas, day to day delivery of high standards of cleaning and infection prevention and control measures.
  • The supervisor will be responsible for the day to day activities of one or more work areas, as well as directly supervising cleaning personnel. Specific responsibilities include scheduling, performance evaluation, inventory control, quality assurance, orientation, training and communicating / resolving customer concerns promptly.
Warehouse Manager - Ref : ABH/OD/WM

Job Specification

Qualification : Graduate Degree/Diploma in Materials Management
Experience: Over 5 years relevant experience

Job Profile

The post-holder has to ensure the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide range of goods including food, clothing, healthcare products, manufacturing parts and household items.
  • Responsible to ensure productivity targets are met and maintain computerised administration and automated storage and retrieval systems. Also, make sure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
Warehouse Assistant - Ref: ABH/OD/WA

Job Profile

The post holder is responsible to carry out general warehouse duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager, is aware of, and follow, warehouse safety procedures and maintain records of inventories and monitor and manage inventory control.
Billing Clerk – Ref : ABH/OD/BC

Job Specification

Qualification: Holder of Higher School Certificate
Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as Cashier/Night Auditor in Tourism industry.

Job Profile

The purpose of this job is to provide accurate billing procedures so as to ensure patients are correctly billed upon discharge. Follow up with Insurance and corporate company for payment confirmation and payment guarantee. To send invoices to the Corporate customers and reminding them for payment.
Front Line Officer - Ref : ABH/OD/FLO

Job Specification

Qualification: Higher School Certificate/ NTC 3 Front Office
Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as Receptionist/Guest Relations Officer in Tourism industry.

Job Profile

The post holder is responsible to act as a receptionist, greet the public and receives patients and visitors at the Registration and Reception desk. Attend to customer queries and always demonstrate good customer care attitude.
Housekeeping Staff (Valet Service) – Ref : ABH/OD/HS

Job Specification

Qualification : Completed Secondary School – up to At least form III Ability to communicate in English and French
Experience: Previous experience in the Tourism Industry in a similar position is highly desirable

Job Profile

The post holder will provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Hospital. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, carrying heavy items and dispose or remove wastes. She/he will maintain cleanliness of the rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, stairways and other areas so that the Hospital’s standards are met.
Usher – Ref : ABH/OD/U1

Job Specification

Qualification: Completed Secondary School – up to At least form IV Ability to communicate in English and French
Experience: Previous experience in the security and or hospitality industry is highly desirable

Job Profile

The post holder will be responsible for greeting and welcoming of guests at the front desk with a friendly and pleasant demeanor and to promptly deal with patients/customers queries/requests. Patrol in the securing assigned area and control the movement of vehicles entering and leaving the company premises and to log in the details. In addition he/she should be familiar Fire Evacuation and Health and Safety procedures and Policies.
