People with hectic schedules can now book appointments with their doctor after work hours, thanks to the new evening consultation services at Apollo Bramwell Hospital, available Mondays to Fridays.
The hospital’s consultation services will now be open from 8.30am to 7.30pm during week days, instead of 8.30am to 5pm. According to Mr. David Gray, Deputy Chairman at Apollo Bramwell Hospital, the new extended schedule will help make the hospital’s services more accessible to the public.
“People with busy schedules have made representations for our schedules to be extended. Our extended hours, which were previously available on Tuesdays and Thursdays only, were already very popular with our customers. We will now be able to accommodate more patients,” explained Mr. Gray.
People can already book appointments with a wide range of specialists in the evenings.
Mauritians will also benefit from consultations with two eminent French surgeons: Dr. Philippe Soubrane, specialist in orthopedic surgery and traumatology and Dr. Eric Ducasse, specialist in vascular and endovascular surgery. Dr. Soubrane will be at the hospital until February 15, while Dr. Ducasse will be available from March 4 to 8.
Dr. Philippe Soubrane, formerly Chef de Clinique Assistant (CCA) d’Orthopédie at the Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Paris specialises, amongst others, in surgery for degenerative rheumatic diseases and in prostheses for the knee, the hip and the shoulder. His services will henceforth be available every two to three months.
Dr. Eric Ducasse is currently a professor in vascular surgery at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) de Bordeaux. He specialises in endovascular and vascular surgery of the peripheral arteries, diabetes-related arterial disease, carotid surgery and aortic aneurysms.
Patients who wish to book an appointment with these specialists can phone Apollo Bramwell Hospital on 605 1000 or send an email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
